Chicago Westside Motors Inc. (“Chicago Westside Motors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Service Orders mobile application for use by authorized personnel. This policy explains how information is handled when the application is used.
1. Information we collect
The application may collect and process:
- Account and authentication information, such as username, role, account status, and credentials needed to authenticate the account.
- Service-order information, including customer contact details, vehicle information, complaints, service notes, order status, and comments.
- Technical information needed to operate the application, including a device notification token and basic request or error logs.
- Activity associated with an account, such as orders created or updated and comments submitted.
2. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Authenticate users and manage authorized access.
- Create, display, update, and track automotive service orders.
- Coordinate service work and communicate operational updates.
- Send relevant push notifications.
- Maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
- Comply with applicable legal and business record obligations.
3. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that support the application, including hosting, database, and notification services such as Render, Neon, and Google Firebase. These providers process information to deliver services on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, security, and property.
4. Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. Data transmitted between the application and its services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security, and authorized users are responsible for protecting their credentials and devices.
5. Data retention
Account and technical information is retained while needed to provide access and operate the application. Service-order records may be retained for legitimate business, customer-service, security, accounting, dispute, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or access-restricted as appropriate.
6. Account and data deletion
Authorized users may request deletion of their account by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page. Certain service-order records may be retained where necessary for business or legal obligations. The deletion page explains the request process and the categories that may be retained.
7. Children
Service Orders is an internal business application intended for authorized adult personnel. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create or use accounts.
8. International processing
Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the application, our practices, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
